Launch of Energize Croton-Tonight!

Community leaders are invited to the launch of Energize Croton residential energy efficiency program. Come find out what it means for the Croton community and your members. Hear from local leaders who have already had a comprehensive evaluation of their homes’ energy use, reviewed recommended measures for improvement and others who have completed their recommended measures and are now evaluating their energy savings and comfort index.

This program is endorsed by the Village of Croton, the Town of Cortlandt and the Northern Westchester Energy Action Consortium of 14 northern Westchester Towns who are working together to reduce our collective energy consumption and working towards energy independence.

The program is sponsored by the Croton Sustainability Committee and the Cortlandt Green Team.

Speakers will include:

–Linda Puglisi, Supervisor, Town of Cortlandt, NY
–Leo Wiegman, Mayor, Village of Croton-on-Hudson
–Lee Streisfeld Leitner and Matt Rubenstein of the Croton Sustainability Task Force, each of who have had assessments and upgrades and can speak of their personal experiences. —Other homeowners who have participated in the program will be invited to share their experiences.
–The Energize NY Energy Coach, Norm Jen. Norm will speak about energy efficiency and advancements in building science that can save us all significant amounts of energy.
–Tom Bregman, director of the Energize NY Program, will speak about the overview of the program, its impact in the northern Westchester region, and the collective potential of residential energy efficiency on our economic bottom line.
–Elyssa Rothe and Heather Flournoy, Energize staff, will introduce themselves to the community and share information on financing, rebates and income-based assistance for energy efficiency upgrades.

This event will be recorded and televised and your questions and participation are vital to the success of the program!
