Am I the only one saddened about the fact that the Saturday Farmers Market is leaving us?? I work in the city and live in Croton, as I am sure many do, and I find it nearly impossible to get to the Wednesday market

upcoming court date for Steve Plotkin in regard to his multiple ski theft last winter at Stratton mountain. Mr Plotkin has a pre trial conference at one pm July 19th 2012 in the battleboro court in judge Dan Sonntag’s Court.

Nice to see some work in the Upper Village. Would hate to see one more out of business space. Anyone know what type of restaurant he is thinking about? He has done a nice job with his other ventures, so I’m sure it will be good!

My property taxes are ridiculous but since I enjoy living in Croton I don’t mind paying even more if I have to. I believe anything good doesnt come easy. Harmon may look depressed, it should blend in just perfect with the rest of Croton’s abandoned businesses. Fix the problem with the vacant businesses in the village first and then worry about adding more. Less parking and second floor apartments above stores: No thanks!

You are so right Harold. It’s time for us to let our Mayor and Board know we want them to move forward. What’s good for Harmon is good for Croton and good for our pockets. The board has been courteous and patient and has answered and addressed every concern raised by the opponents. They may not like the answers they’ve been given but they have been answered time and time again with accurate facts and information.

Great Harold. We need to let our Mayor and Board know in no uncertain terms that we want them to move forward. They shown every bit of patience and courtesy to those naysayers and have corrected the misinformation put forth by them time and time again.
All the i’s have been dotted and the t’s have been crossed. Let’s let the board know it’s time to implement the new zoning. See you Monday night!

I am very excited about the rezoning and hopefully there will be more buildings and more people stores or OFFICES! Anyway one looks at it, it’s a win-win situation!

Thanks Maria …Better that your opinion be posted here on Watch Croton than on that supposed informercial called Everything Croton. (The SaveHarmon site is equally irresponsible.) Opponents of the rezoning are few in number and are blind to what is proposed for Harmon. They are fearful and misinformed and should get the facts straight. We wouldn’t have been burdened with spending hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of taxpayers’ money to fight their unreasonable concerns. Nor would much needed upgrades and improvements to the charming little hamlet and by extension,the village of Croton.
