Moms and Babies evening support group at St. Augustine’s

Calling all pregnant women, new mothers and babies:  You are invited to join our warm and welcoming “Moms and Babies” evening support group in the Meeting Room at St. A’s Parish House.  The meetings are open to the community and you may attend with or without your child.

This group is facilitated by parishioner and Postpartum Doula Katherine Whiteside (CPD, certified by Childbirth International).  Katherine also runs daytime groups at Hudson Valley Hospital and in Garrison and recognizes that some mothers, especially those who have returned to work, prefer evening meetings.

Informal topics for group discussion include: breastfeeding support, adjustments as a new family, baby care, sleep challenges, and juggling back to work issues.  Our group at St. A’s meets in the evenings from 5-7, “come when you can and leave whenever you need to”.  The next meeting is Wednesday, October 8th.  We will discuss how to shape our meetings and future dates for autumn and winter.  For more information, contact Katherine at
