Don’t Flush That

November 16, 2014

This is a reminder that everyone can help to reduce sewage pollution.  Flushed baby wipes, paper towels, plastic bags, personal hygiene products, and fats, oils, and grease (FOG) will build up in the pipes of the collection system.  This can lead to sewage overflows, damage to wastewater treatment systems, and can even cause sewage to back-up into homes.

As you will see in the “Don’t Flush That” video , you can help to protect critical components of the wastewater collection and treatment systems when you think before you flush.
