Psychotherapist joins the Acker Center for Integrative Health
he Acker House Center for Integrative Health has added a psychotherapist to their holistic approach to treatment.
Donna Gerard Marder LCSW, a long-time resident of Croton, was trained in the community mental health movement in all modalities of treatment: individual, group (men’s, women’s, and adolescents), family therapy, child play-therapy, parental guidance, couple counseling (pre-marital and marriage), crisis intervention, critical incidents (suicide, crime, and trauma), short-term therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dream analysis groups. She treats all ages from toddlers to seniors. Her expertise lies in treating trauma victims, bullying, PTSD, OCD, panic disorder, depression, bi-polar illness, anxiety, and phobias.
Her office hours are Mondays at the Acker House, 139 Grand Street. She practices the rest of the week in Manhattan in Greenwich Village.
In addition to accepting insurances, she provides a sliding scale and has grants available to cover the co-payments and deductibles for those for whom payment would be a hardship. By appointment only. 914-271-4514.
