Work Session of the Village Board

7: 30 p.m.

(Open to Public  –  Not Televised)

  1. Discussion regarding Village’s Street Tree Policy.   Ongoing situations with Village-owned trees caused by their growing into overhanging  wires or sidewalk damage, has resulted in recommendations from the Conservation Advisory Council.  Among these are changing the Village’s tree policy to no longer plant trees under wires but, rather, at the homeowner’s request plant a suitable tree on private property with the cost shared.  Responsibility for tree care would be that of the homeowner.  Additionally, the board will discuss what types of sidewalk repair should be done if a Village tree has caused sidewalk damage and whether the Village should restart its sidewalk replacement program.
  2. Discussion regarding Village’s sidewalk policy.  This discussion is related to the previous discussion on sidewalk damage due to street trees or otherwise.  The Village Engineer has provided a memo outlining the terms of the previous sidewalk replacement program for consideration and discussion.
  3. Request by Village Manager to enter into an executive session to discuss real property.  If the request is granted, an executive session will be held.  This does not pertain to Gouveia ro 1A Croton Point Avenue.
