Mayor Wiegman and Trustees Levitt and Slippen will appear on Democratic, Independence & WFP Lines in November Election
Mayor Leo Wiegman and Trustees Andy Levitt and Maria Slippen, who are running as a slate for re-election to the Croton Village Board of Trustees this year, have won the support of the Working Families Party. The support of the Independence Party and Working Families Party is further proof that the Wiegman, Levitt and Slippen are the slate to move the Village forward.
“I am proud to have nominated Mayor Leo Wiegman and Trustees Andy Levitt and Maria Slippen for the Working Families Party endorsement.  After going door-to-door to talk with rank-and-file Working Families Party members, I am more convinced than ever that this is the slate to keep our community safe, green and affordable for working families,” said Peter Feigenbaum, Secretary of the Westchester-Putnam Working Families Party, and Croton-on-Hudson resident.
“On behalf of Dr. Cavallo and the Independence Party, I am pleased that Leo Wiegman, Andy Levitt and Maria Slippen have been endorsed for Mayor and Village Trustees respectively,” said Independence Party Coordinator John Sarcone.
“As a long time supporter of the Working Families Party, I am grateful for their support today.  I am glad the Working Families Party recognizes that I will continue to stand with the middle class and welcome the support of the Independence Party as well,” said Mayor Wiegman.
“I am excited to be part of the first three-party slate in Village history.  These endorsements reflect our commitment to principle and public service and the broad-based appeal of our record and our vision,” said Trustee Andy Levitt.
“I am honored to be endorsed by the Working Families Party and the Independence Party.  As a working mother, I appreciate the economic pressures that families are under today.  As a village trustee, I will make sure the Croton remains a place for middle class families and be a voice for common sense in government,” said Maria Slippen.
“For the first time ever, we are happy to announce that the Democratic slate–Mayor Wiegman,  Trustee Levitt, and Trustee Slippen–have all been endorsed by both the  Independence Party and the Working Families Party,” said Paul Rolnick, Croton Democratic Committee Chair.
