A Note From Trustee Slippen

To the Editor:
The last few months have made something very clear: this year’s election presents voters with two clear choices. One slate has ideas, strategic plans and vision and one with a score to settle.
My vision for Croton is one based in reality. I understand that we have to maintain our infrastructure and I understand that it is the village board’s responsibility to keep taxes as low as possible.
This means financing some projects and using the federal and state grants. It means working with neighboring municipalities to access cutting-edge services at competitive prices.
I want our children to grow up in a village where it is safe to walk or ride their bikes from one of the new businesses in Harmon to the train station or from Senesqua Park to Croton Landing.
I am invested in the future of Croton. I know that the full potential of our village can be achieved when work together.  Thank you for your support and your vote on November 3.

“One slate has ideas….” – like hidden taxes under the Wiegman Dems:

    SEWER RATES: UP 115%

Not to mention a mayor that advertises his personal business interests (solar) using village material and Gouveia Park that bleeds cash and is still not open to the public.

Next on the ‘slate’ will be a new Village Hall likely financed by debt and paid for of course by yours truly.

Nice of you to pony up for the new Village Hall…do you get naming rights?
