Dear Families,

I am excited to share that the Family YMCA at Tarrytown will be partnering with the Croton- Harmon School District beginning Fall 2016.  We will offer after school enrichment classes throughout the 2016-17 school year and a summer camp enrichment program commencing Summer 2017.

The Family YMCA at Tarrytown has extensive experience providing after school enrichment for local elementary schools throughout Westchester in Irvington, Tarrytown, Briarcliff, Ossining and Elmsford. We also have over 20 years’ experience operating summer camps.  As part of our mission to provide youth development, we offer creative and educational programming through national and regional vendors and dedicated instructors employed by the Family YMCA at Tarrytown.

All Family YMCA at Tarrytown employees are prescreened through a nationally recognized, state-of-the-art background check screening service.  Our vendors are required to have similar screening processes in place in order to be considered for our programs.

Parent/Child Interest Survey:  In order to effectively plan your school’s program, we need to hear from you.  Attached is an interest survey, which will guide us in developing exciting and challenging options for your school district’s programs. Here is the link to the survey

The After School Enrichment Program is offered in two sessions, fall and spring; each session runs approximately 8 – 10 weeks. We will offer a variety of classes based on the attached interest survey results. Currently our existing enrichment programs engage students in science, performing arts, creative arts and sports.  Examples of classes include: Mad Science, Magic, Aviation, Legos, Martial Arts, Theater Arts, Arts & Crafts, Music, Dance, Soccer and Circus Arts. Classes will be subject to vendor and instructor availability and we may offer popular classes on more than one day, giving more students the opportunity to participate.

The Summer Enrichment Camp program will also be strategically planned with input from the results of the Parent/Child Interest Survey, so that we can keep children interested and engaged.  Our Summer Enrichment Program typically runs 8 – 9 weeks.  The program offers a variety of enrichment opportunities and traditional camp activities and special themes to make it an enjoyable, well-rounded adventure for kids.

We look forward to working with you and the Croton-Harmon School District this fall.
