NYStretch – New York’s Local Code Option for Maximizing Building Performance and Reducing Emissions

October 9, 2016

Webinar: Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, 10:30 AM- 12:00 PM

This Climate Smart Communities webinar will give an overview of the development and potential applications of the NYStretch Energy Code. The objective of NYStretch is to provide a straightforward, flexible approach to achieving above code-minimum energy efficiency performance for residential, commercial and multi-family buildings. Adopting NYStretch Energy gives local governments that wish to demonstrate leadership on climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions a clear and high-impact opportunity to do so.

The NYStretch effort is spearheaded by NYSERDA and the New Buildings Institute (NBI), and supported by an Advisory Group made up of a broad cross-section of industry stakeholders and policymakers. NBI was selected through competitive solicitation to lead this effort, and has built on prior successful efforts in other states (Massachusetts, Vermont).

Please provide us with your name and community affiliation, either via email or telephone to the Office of Climate Change at climatechange@dec.ny.gov or 518-402-8448. In the event that we cancel or postpone this webinar, respondents will be notified.
