  1. Public Hearing to consider the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Proposed Budget.  The proposed budget is available for review from the Village’s Home Page under Quick Links.

The Manager’s General Fund budget proposal is $19,024,947.   The amount to be raised by taxes is proposed to be $11,475,743.63, an increase of $161,884 over last year.  This proposed budget meets the Tax Cap requirement by $454.

Non-tax revenues are projected to be $7,099,201. These revenues come largely from parking lot permits, Cable franchise fees, sales tax, ambulance charges and an increased number of building permits.  Additionally, the Manager is recommending moving $450,000 from the undesignated Fund Balance.  Non-tax revenues represent 37% of the total budget.

The projected tax rate for fiscal 2017/2018 is $257.182 per $1000 of assessed valuation.  This amount is an increase of $1.897 per $1000 and results in a 0.74% increase in the tax rate. The Village’s overall assessed valuation has increased by $205,659.

  1. Discussion of recreation-related issues regarding Senasqua Park night security, the opening of Gouveia Park, and Croton Little League’s request to sell sponsorship banners to hang on the fence of Dobbs Park.  The Senasqua Park night security topic is about a proposal to erect a fence to separate the Park from the boat ramp area.  Gouveia Park is ready to be opened after entrance and parking improvements have been completed. Rules for use of the park will b discussed.


  1. Reviewed of Proposed Parks and Recreation Department Budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018.   The Parks and Recreation Department Proposed Budget includes the following expense accounts: 7140,7020,7610,7180, 7310
