To the Editor:

It’s disturbing that Trustee Bob Anderson has decided that he knows more than the experts about the need to replace the Croton Fire Department”s aging Engine 118.

I’m pretty sure that Trustee Anderson isn’t driving a car from 1993, and I would hope he wouldn’t hesitate to replace vital safety equipment in his home if it were well past its expected lifespan.  Our volunteer first responders deserve more than the cavalier attitude they are facing from Trustee Anderson and his Croton “United” colleagues.
