PRESENTATIONS/OTHER:  The Village Board to review the EAF Part II and the Village’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Program policies to determine consistency with regard the special use permit request to construct a new 2nd and 3rd story and the addition of dwelling units at 425 South Riverside Avenue.   The Village Board is the Lead Agency under SEQRA for this application. The Village’s Waterfront Advisory Committee has reviewed it for consistency with the Village’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) and found it to be consistent.  The proposed action is an addition of two stories to the building currently housing Straddles and ET Equipment.  Under the proposal, there would be 4 studio apartments and 6 one-bedroom apartments in addition to commercial use on the first floor.

  • Art Roosa III, Croton Fire Department, Washington Engine Company; re Request to hold a chili night and cookoff at Washington Engine Firehouse for fundraising purposes on November 4, 2017.      As the Washington Engine Firehouse is Village property, Village permission must be obtained to hold the fundraiser which would be selling beer and wine to attendees.  They will need to obtain a temporary license from NYS after receiving Board approval.

 

 

PROPOSED RESOLUTIONS:

 

  • Authorizing the Village Board of Trustees to serve as lead agency for SEQRA purposes in connection with the special use permit request at 1360 Albany Post Road, and refers the proposed action to the Waterfront Advisory Committee for review.   After receiving favorable responses from the Planning Board, Zoning Board and County Planning Sept., the Village Board will declare itself as Lead Agency for this permit.  The proposal is for an expanded garden center and new showroom at the location of the current Croton Country Gardens.  It will be referred to theWAC for a consistency review  with  the Village’s LWRP.  The proposal calls for a 2 ½ story building which would house offices above the first floor.  The location is in the North Gateway zoning area of the Village.
  • The Village Board declares the proposed sidewalk link in front of Senasqua Park a Type II action under SEQRA. The Village has been awarded grant funding to complete the sidewalk link between the north end of the existing Elliott Way with the new elevated walkway.    This step is required under SEQRA.  The proposed work will add a sidewalk extension along the length of Senasqua Park to connect with existing sidewalk and pedestrian walkway at both ends.
  • The Village Board considers affirming its commitment to fund the remaining cost of the sidewalk link project in front of Senasqua Park. The Village has secured $125,000 through the New York State and Municipal Facilities Program for a portion of this project. The difference is projected to be approximately $10,000. In order to receive the NYS money, the State requires explicit commitment from the Village to fund the difference.

 

  1. Authorizing the Village Treasurer to transfer $1,370 from the 2017/18 General Fund Contingency account to cover Department of Public works flatbed for its hook-lift truck #54 expense that came in over budget.   This is a budget housekeeping resolution.
